About TechHer Capital

An independent firm advising on the strategic and commercial questions that shape European AI infrastructure.

Who we are

TechHer Capital is based in Paris. The firm advises clients on the strategic, commercial and capital questions that determine where European data center capacity gets built, who builds it, and how it is financed. Our work spans operator-side strategy, investor-side market entry and portfolio analysis, and the design of partnerships between operators, developers and infrastructure investors.

Our mandates are active across France, Germany, Italy, Greece, and the broader Central and Eastern European region, with selective work in markets where our clients are deploying capital.

Our independence is the basis of our usefulness. We have no ties to manufacturers, integrators, or specific operators beyond the engagements we are mandated to deliver. We defend the interests of the client we are working for, exclusively. This allows us to evaluate options objectively, to recommend against engagements when the right outcome is for a client to look elsewhere, and to give counsel that is not shaped by what we would prefer to sell.

Where we come from

The firm grew out of its founder’s experience inside hyperscalers and infrastructure development companies, where she saw the same constraint arising on every project: securing the right piece of powered land, with the right grid path, in the right regulatory environment, had become the binding step in the development cycle. The expertise required to do that work well is technical, commercial, regulatory, and relationship-driven at the same time. Few firms cover all four.

TechHer Capital exists to advise clients who do not have a deep European real estate function of their own, and who need an independent voice that has been on the other side of the table. Out of that work emerged the TerraNova methodology, a framework for evaluating powered land sites against the dimensions that determine whether a data center project succeeds. As demand for that methodology grew, TechHer Capital partnered with VIA DC to form Via Terra, the joint venture that delivers powered land sourcing and qualification work on a dedicated basis.

How we relate to Via Terra

Via Terra is the joint venture between TechHer Capital and VIA DC. It is the operational vehicle for powered land sourcing and qualification work in Europe. TechHer Capital contributes the commercial origination, the operator relationships, and the TerraNova methodology, which Via Terra applies as part of its standard delivery. VIA DC, an independent technical, financial and environmental engineering firm based in Lyon, contributes the engineering depth and the established footprint across more than ten European countries.

The two firms continue to operate independently. TechHer Capital remains the firm of record for strategic and commercial advisory. Via Terra is the operational vehicle for powered land work. Mandates are routed to the firm best placed to deliver them, which is the typical division between a strategic advisor and a delivery JV.
